Wanda Blom Backlund joins The Museum of Furniture Studies as Project Leader.

We’re excited to share that we’ve now finalised our third recruitment for our journey towards opening the museum in Älmhult. Wanda Blom Blacklund, now working as Exhibition Manager at IKEA Museum, will join us as Project Leader from September and she will work closely together with our new Manager Eva Lilja Löwenhielm and our Head of Collection, Jonatan Jahn to establish Museum of Furniture Studies in Älmhult.

Wanda has a solid background from project management, product & range development and running her own business in the field of fashion and home decoration. Wanda is currently Exhibition Manager for IKEA Museum and has been part of the IKEA Museum team since 2015. She will now play a key role in the establishment and further development of Museum of Furniture Studies in Älmhult.

Niels Gammelgaard was one of IKEA's most successful designers, while also running his own design studio, working for among others Fritz Hanzen, Herman Miller and Cappellini. In 1996 Gammelgaard also made the interiors for the Copenhagen City Trains.
