MDM Talks #6: An interview with Simon Bågstam
In this episode, we talk with the designer Simon Bågstam. In 2022 Simon graduated from the design college Malmstens in Stockholm. For his graduation project, he designed an outdoor lounge chair based on traditional boat building techniques dating all the way back to the Viking age.
This interview is part of a series of talks called Ex-Works Reconnect. In this series, we interview design graduates from different Swedish Design Colleges. We talk about the Swedish education system, collaborations, and what it´s like to work as a new designer in the furniture industry. All interviewed designers have been featured in Möbeldesignmuseum´s exhibitions Ex-Works 2020 or Ex-Works 2022.
