MDM Talks #8: An interview with Gustaf Douhan

In this episode, we talk with designer Gustaf Douhan. In 2022, Gustaf graduated from Malmstens Linköping University in Stockholm. For his graduation project, he designed three benches inspired by rooms from two distinct buildings: the Church of Vårby Gård from 1975, designed by Swedish architect Harald Thafvelin, and the foyer of a former high school in Kungholmen, Stockholm, from 1960, designed by the renowned architect Léonie Geisendorf.

This interview is part of a series of talks called Ex-Works Reconnect. In this series, we interview design graduates from different Swedish Design Colleges. We talk about the Swedish education system, collaborations, and what it´s like to work as a new designer in the furniture industry. All interviewed designers have been featured in Möbeldesignmuseum´s exhibitions Ex-Works 2020 or Ex-Works 2022.
