Linn-Sofie Omark is a Swedish designer and craftsperson, educated at HDK-Valand Academy of Art and Design, whose practice explores the relationship between sculptural design, sensory experience, and social sustainability. Working across furniture, sculpture, and spatial objects, she creates pieces that encourage curiosity, playfulness, and interaction.
Inspired by naïvism, surrealism, nature, the human body, and the senses, Linn-Sofie develops designs that invite engagement beyond the visual. Through organic forms and tactile qualities, her work encourages people to explore objects through touch, movement, and experience.
Her degree project, SINNESRÖRELSER, featuring the sculptural work SVÄRMA, is her largest project to date and reflects her interest in how design can activate the senses. Other notable works include BÖLJA and REFLEKTIONS. In 2026, she was awarded the Göteborgs Slöjdförening Scholarship and received support from Estrid Ericsons Stiftelse.
Craftsmanship is at the core of Linn-Sofie’s practice. She works hands-on throughout the design process, allowing materials to influence form and expression. Her projects often begin with a question related to social sustainability or a desire to create a specific experience, followed by intuitive sketching, material exploration, and prototyping.
Working with materials such as textiles, wood, acrylic, clay, and cellular plastic, Linn-Sofie selects each material according to the needs of the project. She is particularly drawn to textiles for their versatility and expressive potential. Sustainability is an important consideration in her work, and she strives to use locally sourced and environmentally conscious materials whenever possible.
Whether creating functional furniture or sculptural objects that challenge expectations of use, Linn-Sofie seeks to foster a more playful, embodied, and sensory relationship with design. Her work is distinguished by its focus on tactility, exploration, and the desire to experience design through more than sight alone.
