Leonie Baldus has a background in cabinetmaking through a previous apprenticeship. After completing her bachelor’s degree in Wood Oriented Furniture Design at HDK-Valand Campus Steneby, she will continue in the master’s programme. Her design practice focuses on combining function and decoration. Through material explorations, she has developed a technique of using birch bark inlays to illustrate wooden surfaces on furniture.
