Kunter Şekercioğlu graduated from METU (Middle East Technical University) and the department of Industrial Design. He is a member of the ETMK (Industrial Designers’ Society of Turkey and the BARBAR Design Initiative.
From 2005 to 2014 Şekercioğlu was a lecturer in product design at the Industrial Design Department of Anadolu University. At the Industrial Design Department of Bahcesehir University in Instanbul, Şekercioğlu works as an instructor. He
Kundter Şekercioğlu is also a partner of KILIT TASI Design, which provides industrial design, design management and strategic design consultancy services to companies in different fields, such as electrical kitchen appliances, promotional items, stationary, furniture, plastic household items, lighting, packaging, automotive etc. Sekercioglu has been represented in exhibitions both nationally and internationally. Among the awards Sekercioglu has recieved one can mention Elle Décor Designer of The Year (Turkey), German Design Gold Award, Red Dot Award, iF Design Award and the Japan Good Design Award. He is represented at the Museum of Furniture Studies with the Atra armchair.
