David Ivarsson is driven by a desire to question individual expression in relation to external factors. He argues that we cannot rely on our individual expression without taking into account the aspects outside ourselves that influence and shape us. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in interior architecture from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design (2021–2026). In his master's degree project Static Reality, he explores the impact of the digital medium on information, and how our understanding of the three-dimensional becomes altered as it shifts from physical experience to visual consumption. The image becomes more than a representation; it becomes a structure that shapes the way we see, remember and how we understand space. Through photography and objects, the project speculates on how movement, perception, and expectations define space. It is an attempt to return to a more active reality where space is not only seen, but felt at the meeting of body, mind, and matter.
