This year will mark the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus School, started in Weimar Germany in 1919 and was shut down by the nazi party in 1933. During its short life Bauhaus created a revolution in architecture and design still valid as inspiration all over the world.

To celebrate the importance of Bauhaus the Museum of Furniture Studies highlights some Bauhaus products from the collection together with examples reflected in Nordic design.

Together with Svensk Form (the Swedish Society of Carfts and Design) the museum organized a Bauhaus evening the 2 May with talks by Kerstin Wickman and Magnus Englund.
